The Class
The Rider's Edge® Skilled Rider Course is a hands-on class where students learn how to improve cornering, stopping, and other aspects of motorcycle handling.
Based on the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's® Experienced RiderCourseSM Suite, the Rider's Edge® Skilled Rider Course is perfect for riders who want to get more out of their riding experience. Use either your own street-ready motorcycle or a rental for this exciting 8 to 9 hour program (for more information about renting a motorcycle, call Sheldon's at 508-721-9876).
Benefits
In addition to enhanced riding skills, students who complete the Rider's Edge® Skilled Rider Course receive a pin and patch set as well as a completion card from the Motorcycle Safety Foundation®, which may qualify riders for insurance discounts (check with your insurance provider for more details).
Cost
The Rider's Edge® Skilled Rider Course at Sheldon's costs $135.00 per person. Payment can be made via cash, credit card, or a check payable to N.F. Sheldon Harley-Davidson and Buell. Payment must be made in-full upon registration.
What you Need
* A street-ready motorcycle (registered, insured, inspected, and passes a pre-ride check)
* An endorsement, permit, or license
* Proof of valid motorcycle insurance
* A helmet manufactured to U.S. , D.O.T. standards
* Protective eyewear
* Motorcycling gloves
* A long-sleeve shirt or jacket
* Over-the-ankle boots
* Jeans or motorcycling pants
* A pre-paid course fee
Refund Policy
To receive a refund, a request must be sent in writing (US Mail, e-mail, or fax) and received by the site coordinator
more than 10 days prior to the start of the course. All cancellations that are made more than 10 days prior to the start of the course will be charged a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be made to students who cancel with less than 10 days written notice, are late to class, dismissed, voluntarily leave, do not pass a written or riding evaluation, have previously rescheduled, or miss a segment of either course.
Reschedule Policy
Students may reschedule to another class within the calendar year one time, space permitting. All reschedule requests must be sent to the site coordinator in writing (US Mail, e-mail, or fax). All reschedule requests that are received by the site coordinator more than 5 days prior to the start of the course will be charged a $25 reschedule fee. All reschedule requests that are received by the site coordinator within 5 days of the class will be charged a $100 reschedule fee.
