Rider's Edge® New Rider Course Details

Learn From the Best, Right Here at Sheldon's!

The Motorcycle
You will be riding a 492CC Buell® Blast® — a responsive, mid-weight streetbike that's easy to handle and rider-friendly. But make no mistake, the Blast® is a real-world bike that can take you as far as you want to go.

The Course
With both classroom and hands-on instruction, you'll gain the knowlege and skill needed to get you where you want to be . . . on the road.

Benefits
After passing a written test and a riding skills evaluation, you'll receive an official MSF RiderCourseSM Completion Card that exempts you from the riding skills portion of the motorcycle operator's license test (for MA licensing). The card may also qualify you for discounts on motorcycle insurance, depending on the provider.

Cost
The New Rider Course tuition is $389.00 per person. Payment can be made via cash, check or credit card.

Requirements
To take this course, you will need:
* To know how to ride a bicycle
* A valid motorcycle license or learner's permit
* A pre-paid motorcycle licensing fee ($15.00, paid to the Registry of Motor Vehicles)
* Jeans, over-the-ankle boots or shoes, motorcycle gloves, a heavy long-sleeved shirt or jacket
* A helmet that meets DOT requirements
* An approved Rider's Edge application
* A pre-paid tuition (due upon registration)

Note: Participants under the age of 18 must complete a driver education program (passed the road test and paid all fees) before a license can be issued to them. Please contact program manager for future information on your eligibility for the RMV road test exemption prior to registering for the course.
